This workshop is ideal to develop your sewing skills. It is a workshop suitable for all levels.
If you don’t have any sewing machine experience, we recommend that you attend the Beginners Sewing classes first.
What you will learn…
In this workshop we will cut out and sew up your very own reversible tote bag.
You will learn to measure and draft your own pattern. You will also improve your confidence in sewing straight seams and will work with accurate seam allowances.
In addition to drafting and cutting out your fabric using the pattern you draft, you can also try out some of your decorative stitch your machine may have if you bring your own machine or alternatively use one of my machines.
What to bring…
- 3/4m of two main fabrics
- 0.5m of base fabric.
- 1m of medium weight iron-on interfacing
- coordinating thread and a filled bobbin
- Scissors
- Tape measure
- Tailors chalk
- Dressmaking pins
- Snippers/ Clippers
- Seam ripper
- Extra sewing machine needles
