Beginners Sewing Classes
Introduction to Sewing
Never touched a sewing machine but always wanted to learn. Or perhaps the last time you sewed were in High School and need a refresher on threading the machine. Taking our Beginner Sewing classes will get you to the beginner level in just 4 weeks! In this beginner class you will learn how to wind a bobbin, sew a straight line, and a variety of basic stitches to get you started on your sewing journey!

Introduction to Dressmaking
Dive into dressmaking with these basic skills
• How to measure correctly

Pajama project 1- Scrunchie
This easy hair piece is a great intro to sewing
• Pinning and cutting out from a pattern
• Learn a simple way to construct the legs
• Create a simple casing
• Finish off with elasticated scrunch
Pajama project 3- Envelope cushion cover
Make a pretty envelope cushion cover in your second project.
• Measure and cut out the cushion cover.
• Construct the cushion cover
• Create a simple opening for the insert
• Creating a double folded hem
• Sewing simple seams
• Tidying of seams
• Bagging out your cushion cove
Pajama project 3- Pajama pants
Make the perfect pair of pajama trousers with an elasticated waistband and ribbon drawstring.
• Pin and cut out the pattern
• Learn a simple method of trouser construction
• Sew narrow double folded hems
• Finish off with an elasticated waist
